CEVA Group, through its CEVA Logistics unit, is a leading provider of logistics and supply chain management services, and the company became a major player in the freight forwarding industry overnight in 2007 by buying US-based EGL. The combined company has operations in more than 100 countries worldwide, and it maintains about 9.2 million square meters of warehouse space at more than 1,200 locations. CEVA Group focuses on the automotive, technology, consumer and retail, industrial, and energy industries. CEVA Logistics was created in 2006 when private equity firm Apollo Management bought the logistics operations of Netherlands-based postal and express delivery giant TNT and renamed them.
