This Republic of Texas is still alive and kicking. Republic Companies Group (The Republic Group) writes multiple lines of commercial and personal property/casualty insurance through subsidiary Republic Underwriters Insurance and other operating units. Licensed in most US states, the company targets rural and smaller metropolitan markets in Texas, where it has sold insurance for more than 100 years, and surrounding southern states. A network of independent agents and managing general agents (MGAs) sell the company's products, which include homeowners, business owners, standard and nonstandard auto, and workers' compensation coverage. The Republic Group is a subsidiary of Israeli conglomerate Delek Group.
