The US arm of Roche's successful diagnostics division, Roche Diagnostics Corp. makes and sells a variety of products for consumers, life sciences researchers, and health care providers. Its Accu-Chek line includes glucose monitors and other diabetes care products for individuals managing that disease. Its professional diagnostics division provides analytical systems for labs, including assays and reagents; it also sells portable (point-of-care) diagnostic testing and monitoring systems used in doctor's offices and ambulances. The molecular diagnostics unit develops a variety of screening tools such as blood supply screening kits and HIV and hepatitis tests.
