Loomis gets paid to take the money and run. The company provides customers with armored transport, as well as ATM, cash handling, check processing, and coin processing services. It operates a fleet of armored vehicles and provides emergency transport and worldwide logistics services. Loomis serves banking and retail customers through some 370 locations across the US and in 13 European countries. The company traces its roots to businesses founded in the early 1900s by Lee Loomis in Alaska and Oregon. Once the cash handling services division of Swedish security giant Securitas, Loomis' parent spun off the company, which began trading on the OMX Stockholm exchange (part of The NASDAQ OMX Group) at the end of 2008.
