Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited (HTIL) provides fixed-line and mobile communications services to customers primarily in Southeast Asia. Its services include voice calling and broadband Internet access, as well as the sale of wireless handsets and accessories. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hutchison Whampoa. Its parent maintains control over telecom interests in such mature markets as Western Europe and North America. HTIL operates in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. The company spun off its profitable Hong Kong and Macau business and sold its interests in Israel. It previously disposed of a key unit in India.
