The company as a whole boasts endorsements from some 5,000 member organizations, nearly 900 of which are in Europe. MBNA Europe also offers credit protection products and fixed term unsecured loans. It has three branches in the UK and another in Spain. The company has arranged to buy Loans.co.uk, which provides debt consolidation and mortgage loans in the UK via the Web. Bank of America, which does most of its credit card business stateside, is buying MBNA.
