Looking to browse some books and sip on a latte? Borders UK can certainly help you out. The company offers books, magazines, music, and DVDs through some 45 stores throughout the UK. (About a fifth of the locations are in London.) Many Borders locations include a Starbucks cafe, as well as a mini Paperchase stationery store. Its Books etc stores offer a wide selection of books via about a half a dozen stores (including a number of airport locations). Once a unit of US bookseller Borders Group, the company collapsed into administration in late 2009. It is owned by Valco Capital Partners, the private equity arm of restructuring firm Hilco.
