RDF Media Group keeps the telly stocked with goodies. It is one of the UK's largest independent producers of TV programming for broadcasters worldwide, such as the BBC and ITV. Shows include The Secret Millionaire and The Genius of Charles Darwin. Through its RDF USA unit, it creates reality-based programming for US TV networks (such as Wife Swap for ABC). RDF also acquires rights to programs produced by other companies, and distributes those shows as well. It capitalizes on secondary rights (DVD's, merchandising) through its RDF Rights & Pangea Management Group. RDF Media is controlled by management and Cyrte Investments, an investment fund led by TV producer and Endemol co-founder John del Mol.
