AMEC Americas is the North American arm of UK-based engineering services giant AMEC. The company provides engineering, project management, and consulting services to public and private-sector clients in the oil and gas, mining, nuclear, and industrial markets. Operations include environmental, geotechnical, and materials consulting and testing services. AMEC Americas serves clients from about 150 offices in Canada and the US. AMEC Americas is involved in such work as oil sands projects in northern Alberta, New Afton copper-gold mine design and feasibility for New Gold in British Columbia, and reconstruction projects in Iraq through a partnership with Fluor.
