Holland & Barrett Holdings wants its customers to feel good about everything they put into and rub onto their bodies. A subsidiary of US-based NBTY, it's the holding company for NBTY's retail operations in Europe, including about 550 Holland & Barrett Retail, GNC (UK), and Nature's Way stores throughout the UK and Ireland. The stores sell health foods, vitamins, minerals, and nutritional and herbal supplements, as well as health and beauty, Most of its products are manufactured by NBTY. Holland & Barrett Retail has set a growth target of up to 650 stores by 2010. Holland & Barrett was sold by Lloyds Chemists to NBTY in 1997.
