Desarrolladora Homex adores building casas for the masses. The company builds more than 50,000 affordable, entry-level and middle-income homes each year in some 30 cities and 20 states in Mexico. More homes are expected to be built on the 67 million square meters of reserve land the company owns. Homex prices range from about $16,000 for an entry level home to some $160,000 for a middle-income home. In 2008 the company began building resort and vacation homes ranging from $450,000 to $750,000. Chairman Eustaquio de Nicolás' family controls Homex.
