The company's Web site provides the Salary Wizard, which offers employee compensation data and analysis geared toward individuals, managers, and businesses. Data includes base, bonus, and incentive pay information for jobs held by some 80% of US employees, as well as similar data for top executives at more than 12,000 US public companies. Salary.com also distributes compensation management software. Its CompAnalyst software integrates the company's data, third-party survey data, and a customer's own pay data. Salary.com was founded in 1999 by CEO Kent Plunkett, who owns 23% of the firm.
