The investors at BC Partners have been about their business for a while, but they're certainly not prehistoric. BC Partners is a pan-European private equity house that works with target firms' management to purchase majority stakes in companies in a variety of industries. Since its inception, BC Partners has invested in about 70 companies with a total value of approximately $95 billion. Recent investments include Office Depot, SGB Group, Migros Turk, and Intelsat. BC Partners is investing from its eighth private equity fund, BC European Capital VIII, which closed in 2005 with E5.9 billion ($8.8 billion). The company has offices in Geneva, Hamburg, London, Milan, and Paris.
