Tea and pasta may not go down well together, but British and Italian partners GKN and Finmeccanica thought their helicopters a good pairing and so formed AgustaWestland as a 50/50 joint venture in 2001. There's only one hand on the yoke now, however, as Finmeccanica bought out GKN's stake in 2004. AgustaWestland's commercial vehicles include the A119 Koala; the A109 Power; and medium transports AB412, AW139, and BA609 Tiltrotor. Military offerings include the multi-role AH MK1; the 10.6-ton NH90; and the US101, which will be the new US presidential helicopter. AgustaWestland also produces the Apache helicopter under license from Boeing.
