G4S (formerly Group 4 Securicor) is a market leader (neck-and-neck with Securitas for the #1 spot), provides security guards, runs prisons, and offers cash transport services to customers in some 100 countries worldwide. It also develops and installs security systems and electronic surveillance devices. Its Wackenhut subsidiary provides armed guards and related security services to government and industrial clients in the US. The company was formed following the merger of top international security firms Securicor and Group 4 A/S (formerly Group 4 Falck).
