The site has partnerships with more than 200 newspapers and television stations, and it places listings for about 2.4 million vehicles from some 15,000 dealers through classified advertising and private-party listings. Cars.com also offers search and comparison tools, pricing information, photo galleries, videos, expert vehicle reviews, and advice for buyers and sellers. Launched in 1998, Cars.com is a division of Classified Ventures, which is owned by several leading media companies, including A. H. Belo Corporation and Gannett Co.
