Iomega carved a space for itself in the data storage market with a slash-and-burn strategy. The company provides rewritable optical DVD drives, desktop and portable PC hard drives, as well as wireless-capable drives for the consumer market. Its business products include network attached storage (NAS) equipment, and its REV line of removable hard disk drives. Iomega also provides online storage and data recovery services for the consumer and professional markets through its iStorage unit. The company sells its products worldwide through such distributors as Ingram Micro, CDW, and Tech Data, and retailers including Best Buy and Fry's Electronics. Iomega is a subsidiary of data storage giant EMC.
