Embrex helps chickens lay golden eggs. The firm makes biotech products that help make the poultry industry more productive. Its automated Inovoject system inoculates chickens "in ovo" (in the egg). It inoculates 20,000 to 60,000 eggs per hour, eliminating the need for manual vaccination of new chicks. The company's Inovoject system, which inoculates approximately 85% of all eggs produced in the US and Canada, is available worldwide. Embrex also makes poultry vaccines, including Bursaplex (or Bursa-BDA, as it is known in Japan) and Newplex. Embrex is owned by the animal health division of pharmaceutical giant Pfizer.
