In addition to traffic management, the company's products enable network administrators to manage network security features. Sandvine serves clients including Hughes Network Systems and has sales partnerships with companies such as Telindus. The company received private funding from such investors as BDC Venture Capital, Tech Capital Partners, and VenGrowth. Sandvine was co-founded by veterans of former digital video distribution systems developer Pixstream, which was acquired by Cisco Systems.
