First Act wants to get lots of bang for its buck. First Act makes guitars, drums, and related accessories (microphones, music stands, pedals, strings, straps), as well as band and orchestral instruments. The company's products, which are sold through mass merchandisers (Wal-Mart and Target), specialty retailers (Toys R Us), and club channels nationwide, are designed primarily for children, beginners, and school music programs.
