What do Tupperware and telephone service have in common? For ACN, it's all in how you sell it. The telecommunications reseller draws revenue from multilevel marketing (the selling strategy used by the likes of consumer goods distributors Tupperware and Amway). Its commission-based independent distributors operate in 20 countries, reselling local and long-distance phone service, as well as Internet access, satellite television, and home security services. ACN purchases network resources from such leading carriers as AT&T, Telstra, and Verizon. Satellite TV services are offered through partnerships with DIRECTV and DISH Network. Chairman Robert Stevanovski and president Gregory Provenzano co-founded ACN in 1993.
