Coley Pharmaceutical Group believes you have the power to fight cancer -- you just might need a little stimulation. The company develops TLR (toll-like receptor) therapeutics which stimulate the immune system to fight disease. Its lead product candidate, CPG 7909, is in clinical trials for non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, melanoma, and T cell lymphoma. Coley also targets respiratory conditions such as asthma, as well as infectious diseases; it is developing a vaccine adjuvant to enhance the efficacy of vaccines for cancer and infectious diseases. Coley has been acquired by Pfizer, its development and commercialization partner for CPG 7909.
