1867 Western Financial Corporation is the holding company for Bank of Stockton, one of California's oldest banks and the oldest bank still operating under its original charter. The bank has about 20 branches in and around San Joaquin County, including Sacramento to the north. It offers standard banking products and services including checking and savings accounts, CDs, and commercial and retail loans and mortgages; real estate loans account for more than half of the company's loan book. Bank of Stockton also operates under division names Elk Grove Commerce Bank (opened in 2006) and Modesto Commerce Bank and Turlock Commerce Bank (both acquired in 2003).
