TelAlaska is a group of companies -- including Interior Telephone, Mukluk Telephone, TelAlaska Long Distance, Eyecom Cable, and TelAlaska NetWorks -- that provides telecommunications services throughout Alaska. TelAlaska specializes in providing communications service to remote rural communities, many of which are not even accessible by road. In addition to local and long-distance phone service, the company offers cable television in four communities and Internet service throughout the state. TelAlaska was acquired by American Broadband Communications in 2008.
