Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, also known simply as Lutheran General, provides acute and long-term medical and surgical care to the residents of Park Ridge, Illinois and the surrounding northern suburban Chicago area. As one of the largest hospitals in the region, Lutheran General has about 620 beds and a Level I trauma center. It also includes a complete children's hospital and pediatric critical care center. Lutheran General serves as a teaching hospital and its specialized programs include oncology, cardiology, women's health, emergency medicine, and hospice care. Lutheran General is part of the Advocate Health Care network.
