The ancient Romans worshipped Aurora, goddess of the dawn. Today, homebuyers might worship Aurora Loan Services, a company that represents, for some, the dawn of the American Dream. Aurora Loan Services originates prime and nonprime residential mortgage loans through its direct lending channel. It services the loans as well and is one of the top residential loan servicers in the US. Parent company Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy in 2008, but, as a subsidiary of that firm's Aurora Bank (formerly Lehman Brothers Bank) division, Aurora Loan Services was not included in the filing.
