Part of the Alamo City's thriving credit union industry, San Antonio Federal Credit Union (SACU for short) provides deposit, lending, and investment services through about 20 branches in its home city and another in Houston. Its product offerings include checking and savings accounts, CDs, IRAs, money market accounts, home mortgages, and a variety of consumer loans. The credit union also offers investment products and services like mutual funds, municipal bonds, annuities, and retirement and college savings plans. Subsidiary SACU Financial Solutions offers insurance and tax and legal services. Founded in 1935, SACU today has more than 240,000 members.
