Alaska USA is no half-baked financial institution. The credit union provides banking services to more than 350,000 members from about 50 branch locations throughout Alaska, Washington, and California. The member-owned Alaska USA offers consumer and commercial lines including deposit accounts, loans, and insurance and risk management services. Its lending portfolio is comprised primarily of consumer loans (about 70%) and real estate loans (20%); it also holds a small number of commercial loans. Alaska USA Mortgage provides mortgage lending and origination services. Alaska USA was founded in 1948 as the Alaskan Air Depot Federal Credit Union.
