The firm offers several specialty programs: It has a large public entity business, and also has expertise in providing insurance for energy and health care companies, tribal nations, law firms, and the real estate and construction industries. Additionally, Alliant offers risk management services and a variety of business services such as 401(k) administration and human resources consulting. Private equity firm Blackstone bought the company in 2007 for more than $1.1 billion.
