Alpha Industries not only caters to the corps, but to fashionistas the world over. The company is a leading manufacturer of flight jackets for the US Air Force, Navy, Army, and Marine Corps. It caters to men, women, and children. Its products have been seen on the likes of Tom Cruise (in Top Gun), Nicole Kidman, and Victoria Beckham, as well. Alpha Industries, which has produced some 40 million pieces of military outerwear since its founding, sells its apparel products through military outlets, as well as through specialty US retailers. The company got its start in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1959. Since that time Alpha Industries has produced the M-65 Field Coat, creating more of them than any other company.
