No superheroes here: This DC's calling is to manufacture all manner of chemicals. DC Chemical Company (DCC) makes basic chemicals (soda ash, acetic acid, etc.), fine chemicals (ingredients for rubber and glyphosate), and petrochemicals (carbon black, benzene, and xylene). DCC maintains manufacturing plants primarily in South Korea, though also throughout Asia, Europe, and North America. DC Chemical acquired Columbian Chemicals, the world's number-three maker of carbon black, and Chinese inorganics maker Zhejiang DC (after a name change) in 2006. The company was formed in 1959 and changed its name from Oriental Chemical Industries following its 2001 merger with Korea Steel Petrochemical.
