With about a dozen locations near major airports, Alliant Credit Union (formerly United Airlines Employees Credit Union), is one of the largest credit unions in the country with nearly $6.5 billion in assets and more than 250,000 members. Alliant offers a fleet of products and services, including checking and savings accounts, credit cards, investments, and insurance. Membership is open to all Chicagoland residents and workers, current and retired employees or members (and families) of United Airlines, Aflac, NAACP, Google, Kaiser Permanente, and over a hundred other qualifying companies and organizations. Alliant was founded by a group of United Airlines employees in 1935.
