Care UK operates nursing and residential care facilities for the elderly, mentally ill, and people with learning disabilities. Facilities are located in the greater London area and throughout the UK. The company also provides home health care and assisted living services, which account for about half of company revenue. Care UK created a clinical care division in response to the NHS's plan to privatize some service offerings. In 2004 the company acquired Althea Park, a mental-health service provider specializing in treating women with eating disorders and other problems.
