Among the largest theater chains in the US, Carmike owns, operates, or has stakes in about 2,300 screens at more than 250 theaters in 36 states. Carmike's theaters are located mostly in small to midsized communities where the chain hosts the only theater in town. The company's revenues come from the sale of admission tickets and concessions.
