"On the Road Again" isn't just a Willie Nelson song to Astec Industries, it's a way of life. The company, and its 14 manufacturing subsidiaries, makes equipment for every phase of road building, utility, and other construction projects. Its products include aggregate crushers, pavers, and portable hot-mix asphalt plants. Its auger-boring, impact-crusher, trenching, directional-drilling, and heat-transfer equipment is used in the construction, demolition, mining, recycling, and oil and gas industries. Founded in 1972, Astec also sells replacement parts. Customers are both government and private clients, including asphalt road paving contractors, utility and pipeline contractors, and mine and quarry operators.
