SpatiaLight offers big light in small spaces. The company develops miniature, high-resolution LCDs. Its liquid-crystal-on-silicon (LCoS) microdisplays consist of a silicon chip, a layer of liquid crystals, and a glass cover plate, instead of the more common construction of liquid crystals sandwiched between two glass plates. The LCoS microdisplays provide high-resolution images and are used in video projectors, head-mounted video displays, and rear-projection computer monitors and televisions. The company's auditor has cited material weaknesses in its internal financial controls and expressed concern over its ability to continue as a going concern.
