Healthcare Realty Trust has the prescription for health care providers. The self-managed and self-administered real estate investment trust (REIT) invests in, develops, and manages inpatient and outpatient health care facilities, medical office buildings, and physician clinics. It owns about 180 properties with some 11 million sq. ft. of space in nearly 25 states. Healthcare Realty Trust also invests in mortgages backed by health care properties and provides property management services for about 100 health care facilities. The REIT's largest tenant is HealthSouth, which accounts for more than 10% of the company's revenues.
