A veritable veggie volcano, United Foods (dba Pictsweet) grows asparagus, corn, okra, and lots of other vegetables. The company offers more than 100 different products including family-sized, regular, and bulk-sized portions, baby and pre-seasoned vegetables, and stir-fry blends. It quick-freezes the vegetables and sells them to US retail grocery chains and foodservice operators. United supplies military commissaries and institutions such as hospitals and schools. In addition to the Pictsweet brand, the company makes private-label frozen veggies.
