Toshiba Semiconductor is the microchip arm of electronics titan Toshiba Corporation. Toshiba makes many kinds of discrete devices and integrated circuits (ICs), including application-specific standard products (ASSPs), diodes, linear devices, logic chips, microcontrollers, sensors, and transistors. Toshiba's semiconductor operations also make optical components, as well as many kinds of memory chips, including DRAMs, static RAMs (SRAMs), flash memory devices, and electrically erasable programmable read-only memories (EEPROMs). The company works cooperatively with other chip makers and manufacturers of consumer electronics to advance the functionality of its products.
