Wherify Wireless tracks the young and old, and it doesn't forget a face. The company's wireless location products and services, which include a handset called Wherifone, combine global positioning system (GPS) and mobile phone technology. Its offerings helps consumer customers monitor children and elderly family members, and businesses use them to keep track of employees. Formerly known as IQ Biometrix, the company acquired privately held Wherify Wireless and its line of wireless GPS tracking products in mid-2005; the company then adopted the Wherify name.
