Blazing new trails in the title insurance industry, American Pioneer Title Insurance Company (APTIC) writes title insurance and provides its agents with related software and services. The company is licensed to underwrite title insurance in 45 states. In 2004 APTIC was acquired by Fidelity National Financial from The PMI Group in a deal valued at $115 million that has given the parent company the leading market share in APTIC's home state of Florida. Fidelity National Financial also gained APTIC's computerized title plant assets. APTIC now operates under the Ticor Title brand name.
