American Natural Energy Corp. is not selling organic food and dietary supplements to boost metabolism, it is tapping into that other American natural energy source -- hydrocarbons. Doing business as ANEC, the company is an oil and natural gas exploration and production company which focuses its operations on a property in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana. ANEC works in tandem with partner Exxon Mobil to develop this Louisiana project. In 2007 the company sold 75% of ANEC's development rights in this project to Dune Energy.
