BioWare develops video games for play on PCs and consoles, concentrating on role-playing games (RPGs), so much so that it's seen as a leader in the genre. Titles include the Baldur's Gate series, Neverwinter Nights, Jade Empire, Jade Empire, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It games run on variety of gaming platforms, including Microsoft's Xbox video game system and Sony's PlayStation 2. They also license their game-engine technology. Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk founded BioWare in 1995. In early 2008 the company (along with sister studio Pandemic Games) was acquired by EA.
