Bombardier Flexjet (known as Flexjet) offers fractional jet ownership services, in which customers acquire partial ownership of aircraft operated by the company. With ownership comes a specified number of flying hours -- think of the arrangement as an airborne timeshare. (A one-sixteenth share of an airplane equates to 50 hours of flight time per year.) Through the Flexjet 25 program, customers can also buy flight time in 25-hour blocks without taking an ownership interest in a plane. Flexjet's fleet of more than 90 aircraft includes Learjet and Challenger business jets manufactured by the company's parent, Montreal-based Bombardier. Flexjet was established in 1995.
