Advanced Recycling Sciences wants to be there when the rubber meets the road. The company is working on products and technologies related to the recycling of used tires, and it has developed a rubberized asphalt that incorporates shredded tires. Asphalt rubber products can be used wherever conventional asphalt concrete or asphalt surface treatments are used. The asphalt, meant to be used for road paving, has been marketed in Germany. In addition, Advanced Recycling Sciences is developing technology to produce carbon black and crude oil from scrap tires. Other subsidiaries include Advanced Surfacing Technologies and Revultec.
