The scientists at ProMetic are meticulous about proteins. The biotech company develops proteins for pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and blood and plasma product safety. ProMetic, with research centers in Canada (the Therapeutic division) and the UK (the Enabling Technology division), licenses its protein technology to other companies, who then make their own products. The company has multiple collaborative agreements with Aventis, GlaxoSmithKline, MacoPharma, Menarini, Octapharma, Merck Serono, and The American Red Cross. ProMetic was founded in 1994.
