America's Home Place builds custom homes on its customers' land. The company builds single-family, detached houses with more than 90 custom floor plans and designs. Its two- to five-bedroom cabin, chalet, ranch, two-story, and split-level houses range in price from about $80,000 to more than $300,000, and in size from about 900 sq. ft. to 4,000 sq. ft. America's Home Place operates roughly 50 building centers and showrooms in the Southeast US. Buyers typically already own their land, from a single lot to many acres. The company also assists buyers who are not landowners in locating available property. President Barry Conner owns the company he founded in 1972.
