Biotech Holdings has a singular focus on getting its diabetes drug to market. The company's sole product is an insulin-sensitizing pill called Sucanon (it also goes by DIAB II) that is approved for use in some foreign markets as a treatment for type 2 diabetes, or non-insulin-dependent diabetes. The company sells the drug mainly in Mexico, where it can either be prescribed by a physician or dispensed by a pharmacist without a prescription. Sucanon is also approved in Peru and in China, though the company has halted any marketing efforts in China. Biotech Holdings also sells the drug via an Internet site, sucononhealth.com, which it launched in 2007.
