Roquette America makes the stuff we love, even if we're not supposed to. The company's Iowa manufacturing facility produces corn-based starches and syrups used in foods and drinks, as well as in paper products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and agricultural goods. It also operates a manufacturing plant in Illinois. Roquette America is a subsidiary of the French company Roquette Frères, a leading producer of polyols (sugar alcohols).
