PharmaNet is a contract research organization (CRO) which provides late Phase II through Phase IV drug trial services to the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. As part of its services it provides trial monitoring, planning, quality control, and regulatory compliance consulting. PharmaNet operates through a network of more than 25 offices primarily in Europe and the US. It specializes in conducting trials for cardiovascular and infectious diseases, neuroscience, and oncology. Founded in 1996, PharmaNet was acquired by PharmaNet Development Group in December 2004 and accounted for 65% of its parent's revenues in 2006.
